Due to the recent resignation of Secretary Raul Vasquez, the removal of Director Bob Champion, and a third Director unable to attend to an illness, President Jose Guerra has cancelled the November 18th Board Meeting.

Whatttt?

As renters we wanted to bring a few complaints now that we are allowed to open our mouths, we have been terrorized by mosquitos for the last 3 weeks (fire whoever is providing the service please)mosquitos are diseasses carriers, weekly robberies are the standard, Park filthy with trash, Golf Course destroyed......
We are seriously thinking of NOT coming back ever again... just as many of our renter friends from up North did last year...
If you own a rental business at Long Island put attention!!!
watch the EXODUS take place...
Hard to believe this is the only avenue for a resident can find information...

I'm surprised Burke got away with her partial reading of "The President can vote" crap a the last meeting. She only read part of that answer and bullied her way on so that she and Guerra could keep control of the meeting and the BOD. The rest of the answer clearly explained that the President could vote on any result that had been decided, but that he could NOT vote if his vote would change the outcome of the decision. It should now be apparent to everyone that Burke and Guerra do not vote in the best interest of the Village and we should insist that they BOTH resign. I do not know if Weaver was participating in this scheme or just tagging along. I also think we should rethink the use of our attorney.

We need to regain control of this Village before it's too late. I hope the newsletter reports this scheme so the out of town owners know who is wrecking our Village. We should have an uprising, get these two directors out, and appoint some owners who agree with McBride and Waller to get this Village back on track with some financial responsibility. The next election we should not be swayed by a person's educational background, but simply be sure they liv here and want to help run this Village on a sound financial manner.

Boy Kilroy, you hit the nail on the head! I agree with everything you said. It was also totally disrespectful to the owners and to the folks that volunteered to help the BOD out for the next couple of months. It has PB written all over it......and what's really sad is that Guerra & Weaver can't see that she is making complete fools of them. Some of you might remember that Guerra helped remove PB as Pres. of the BOD back in May of 2010 for abuse of power then.. she resigned. Do you really think she has forgiven him? Do you think this could be her way of getting even? And Weaver is not innocent in all of this......for some reason being Treasurer of a little BOD has gone to his head.....and PB has probably promised him the type of power he seems to need. The question remains...How to you organize a coup d'état?

B.S:
These are the same people and group that ran the park to the ground in the last few years and have NO shame... they keep on running or getting hand-picked by their friends...even after being removed before for unethical reasons (brokering without license).
Pony and Dog show:
Both conduct and PROFIT from personal businesses conducted inside the Park... even if they hide it under another name they still Rentals and Construction...

People will never forget how the rental Pool was raided a few years ago and ever since is a losing entity, think about the incredible amount of funds/revenue LIV has lost on the last few years (100 properties or so now gone).... and keep Directors wives out of any and all comittees....as well as ex-Directors...
Enough egotistical and greedy people...
And the dredging of the canals? fine thank you, in the meantime more lawsuits on the way.
Isn't obvious there is No leadership.

Just heard from some friends (renters) they were charged forcefully $50 USD to come into their rental...and they will have to pay every month.
They are beyond furious to say the least, as it is LIV is a ghost town comparing with prior years,
who are the geniuses that decided this will help anybody as it is people are struggling with the rental properties they own? as it is Half of the park is it for sale and more and more people thinking/talking selling and getting out of here...take heed, this as people are getting to pay taxes and assessments...
Is this some kind of a wicked plot by the Couple (1 Director) that are renting their friends properties under the table? and think the law (Real State and IRS) nor LIV rules apply to them...

This decision is going to hurt us even more. The entire Board gotta go...

Our biggest issue seems to be our image to the outside world. We have a horrid reputation. Folks this is why there are so many properties for sale and they just are not selling. LIV is a PITA to deal with on just about every level. Keep it up and we will be broke with the only door out is getting annexed by PI.
