So now we are paying employees to watch TV and play games in additional places...is this the fiscal responsibility we expected from new BOD members. The pro shop, restaurant, residence center, poolside grill...all a money pit...very few people using any of these areas. Take a walk around the village and assess for yourself the amount of work being done by our employees. But why should they be any different than the managers...what a sweet place to work! YET, most of the time you are greeted by employees who act like they are doing you a favor, unsmiling, lying on the counter, back turned as they watch TV, busy at Computer screen and don't acknowledge you (games are demanding, esp. Candy Crush and solitaire). The Village needs some new managers who are hungry to show improvements in the bottom line for US. But ours don't work for us do they? Their loyalty is to the company who hires them and their goal is to make $ for the company. The Village is the cash cow and they have almost milked us dry!

The Village is awesome but needs some changes, seems to be currently going in the wrong direction and spending too much on superficial items rather than saving for the repairs to infrastructure. The indoor pool is empty, will the BOD make some cost saving measures which will also created more usable space for the exercise classes by filling in the deep end? Save water, chemicals and make it more usable, seems like a no brainer. Now we have the restaurant open along with the pro shop and very few folk are using it and we are not suppose to care if it is costing $ we need for infrastructure repairs as it is all amenities now! Fiscal responsibility for all not all paying for the special interests of a few. Who is looking out for the owner's interests? Seems like BOD members do what they like and if there is another shortfall and with management like this you can bet there will be, just increase condo fees or make an assessment. :( :( :(

Don't try to actually go to the restaurant to get a meal at 7 AM as advertised. Doors aren't unlocked and lights turned on until 7:30 to 8:00 most days. Our managers keep "bankers hours" and don't have a clue about what goes on early in the day. Used to be the boss was the first on in. Times have changed.

there is an OLD song that applies here

"SEEMS TO ME I'VE HEARD THIS SONG BEFORE"

can't remember who sang it

In the winter, lots of people use the indoor pool.

Really disappointed to see all the resort controlled sprinkler systems running Wednesday AM after getting nearly 2" of rain over the weekend. This was enough rain to eliminate the need to water for a couple weeks. Another lost opportunity to save a few $.
It's like we're on a plane that is on auto pilot and both the pilot and co-pilot have left the cockpit. No one is really at the controls.

Your statement is nothing new. No one has been at the controls for a long time. Have lived in other HOA's that ran like clock work without these problems. Prior to this (LIV) HOA the two biggest problems were had how the Christmas & Spring parties would be. Frankly I think certain people just like to cause trouble and management wants to be the king. Of course gossip rules the day. Think about it fellow LIVers!! Some self confident people with prior management need to step up to the plate

Criminal gang graffiti near the swing bridge......

We better pay attention to this... not good!

Rain sensors attached to the sprinkler systems would be such a simple, inexpensive solution to unnecessary watering. This is technology that has been around for decades and is automatically included with sprinkler systems where I live.

Costa's...498

LIV ...will no longer be our home. We have packed and ready to start a new adventure!

We have traded our home for a place in FL 2 1/2 acres and 150'on the ST JOHN RIVER.

Fred and I are bowing out before the great memories out weigh the turmoil that occurs behind the scenes in LIV ...

Your new members are Bob And Barb from CO. They are very active .. social people.

We have enjoyed meeting them..They will be a welcome addition to the PARK.

And Robbie.. GOD only knows why you are mad me.. I truly just wanted to be a friend!

Joey, has the rain helped the low water table at the Falcon water reservoir? the last pics I saw of it, it was down 40 feet

Joey said...

It has went up about three feet since the storm. It is currently about ten feet below this year's highest mark. This storm helped.
